Slip n' Slide

Lily's friends brought over their 3 person slip n' slide the other day and it made quite a splash around here (har, har - bad joke, I know...) However, Lily has learned to use the slip n' slide the correct way this year - every year before now, she would just run down the whole slide, or she would sit down & scoot herself to the bottom - but this year, she is actually running & sliding down all the way on her tummy! Father's Day

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!! We went to Virginia Beach to celebrate Father's Day this year. We all had a great, relaxing day & wished we could have stayed longer.

New Orders!

Brian called me from work earlier this week to tell me that he has new orders! It looks like we will be moving to Texas in February!! YIPPEE!!

Lily's Last Day of Pre-School!

First Smile!

Jake smiled for the first time on Wednesday! He was sitting in his bouncer and Lily went over to him & put her face right up to his and said "Jakey, Jakey Jakey, Jakey!" and he smiled! She said "Look, Mom! He's smiling!" and she did it again - and he smiled again!!! It was pretty adorable. I rushed to get my camera, but of course he wouldn't smile again. Then I tried to make him smile, but was unsuccessful - of course. He seems to be fascinated with Lily. Every time she is around he just stares at her & she can almost always calm him down if he is being fussy or is upset. I guess it's just that special sibling bond...

Kangaroo Jac's

It's been so hot here lately (we've been setting record highs for the past 4 days here in Virginia) that the kids have been stuck inside quite a bit. Since they haven't been able to go outside and play, they've been bouncing off the walls at home, so we decided to take them to Kangaroo Jac's to get rid some of their pent up energy. Kangaroo Jac's is an indoor play place that has a bunch of enormous inflatable bouncers, slides and obstacle courses. The kids played really hard & had a blast!

Lily's Pre-School Graduation Celebration

Lily had her pre-school graduation and BBQ celebration on Friday. There was fun and activities at Hero Park, then a BBQ lunch, followed by a ceremony where all the kids received a certificate and a yellow rose for completing the pre-school program.
